Privacy Policy — hivemigracion

Last updated: 19 May 2026

1. Who we are

hivemigracion is operated by Highdatanet Projects S.L. as a private Shopify migration tool. The app is distributed via custom (unlisted) Partner distribution and installed only by merchants we have a service agreement with.

2. What data we access

3. Why we access it

The data is used exclusively to perform the migration the merchant requests, specifically:

  1. Deduplicate customers by normalized email before creating them in Shopify.
  2. Recreate the customer-to-order relationship so imported orders are never orphaned.
  3. Reattach customer-specific coupon eligibility (Shopify DiscountCustomers binding) lost in CSV-based imports.
  4. Allow the merchant to audit and reconcile the migration result.

4. How we store it

Mapping records (WC ↔ Shopify resource IDs) live in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon (EU/US region per project). PII reads from Shopify are processed transiently and only the references(Customer GIDs, hashed WC user IDs) are persisted for reconciliation. Connections use TLS end-to-end.

5. Data retention

Migration projects and their mapping records are retained for 90 days after the migration completes. After that, the project is auto-archived and PII references are deleted. The merchant can request immediate deletion from the app dashboard or by emailing the address below.

6. Sharing with third parties

We do not share PII with third parties. The only subprocessors are infrastructure providers (Neon for Postgres, Vercel/Lightsail for compute, Sentry for error logs without PII) bound by GDPR-compliant DPAs.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

We honor data access, rectification, deletion, and portability requests via the standard Shopify compliance webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. You can also email us directly.
